A Necessary Evil

Here I am this morning with the Evil Appliance-the vacuum cleaner. Notice I keep my distance.

I am trying to affect bored indifference in the presence of this thing, but the fact is it really freaks me out! How my personal assistant can sling it over his shoulder and turn it on is beyond me! He says it is the price I pay for being a corgi. If Nash and I didn’t shed so much he wouldn’t have to use it every day. I told him that if he didn’t vacuum at all, over time all the hair would collect, connect, and weave itself into a nice, soft Cardigan carpet! He said nice try, but it just wouldn’t do. Good thing us Cardis have strong character to withstand such assaults on our sensibilities!

  1. we understand….we don’t vacuum. we sweep. if we vacuum, cody bear gets so scared and it is horrible to see.
plus…i hate vacuuming…i get angry with the cord…

  2. LOVE your new header!! You definitely have a flat affect! Good disguise! Tuffy and Mandy are very afraid of the vacuum cleaner noise.

  3. I think vacuums are evil as well but for a different reason. I have to routinely push mine around!

    Fab new header!

  4. Thanks for the header comments, S. Le and Gina. Makes me look like Mr. Online, dontcha think?!

goodbear, my p.a. has choice names for the cord, none of which can be posted amongst polite company….

  5. Doghairs are the bane of my life… :(

I love the new header! :)

  6. Even if the cardigan fur didn’t end up making a carpet, maybe it would end up making a nice sweater ….

    *DUCKS*

  7. Cai and Fergus don’t care one way or the other, but I hate noise so our vacuum, Clover, rarely sees the light of day. It’s the broom for us.
    E.g. has an Apple too.

  8. Call me crazy, but a cardigan fur carpet…kinda freaks me out.

  9. If you don’t use the vaccum, Checkers, your dust bunnies might eat you!
